A Legacy of Rhythm
Born into a prestigious musical lineage, Enayet is the son and protégé of renowned musician Ustad Hamid Hossain. His grandfather, the illustrious Ustad Kader Buksh from Murishidabad, India, was a distinguished musician and revered musicologist. Enayet began his tabla journey at age six and has since accompanied legends such as Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pandit Jasraj, Shujaat Khan, Budhaditya Mukherjee, Salamat Ali Khan, Ghulam Mustafa, and Ronu Majumdar.
World‑Fusion Tabla Maestro
Enayet’s versatility shines across Indian classical, light classical, and fusion music. He has released over 50 albums and is a full‑fledged voting member of the Recording Academy for the Grammy Awards. As a world fusion tabla maestro, he founded Melodic Intersect to explore new horizons in Indian/jazz fusion and other genres. He also runs Aimrec, a label dedicated to preserving Indian classical music.
